I am a tenured professor at Vienna University of Business and Economics (WU), Europe‘s biggest business school. WU is an excellent employer. And the campus we work at is one of the most modern architectural spaces in Europe.

Institute for Information Systems & Society

At WU I am chairing the Institute for Information Systems & Society with around ten people in my team. Together we run WU‘s 2nd largest Bachelor programme (SBWL) and a Master specialization in „Sustainable IS“. Currently I teach Innovation Management, Internet Economics, Ethical Computing and Privacy & Security.

Privacy & Sustainable Computing Lab

In 2016 I founded the Privacy & Sustainable Computing Lab together with my WU colleague Prof. Dr. Axel Polleres. The lab is run by Dr. Ben Wagner. As of 2019 it has 24 official academic members and 9 funded research projects in diverse areas of sustainable computing, including privacy, open data, hate speach, etc.
